An honest leather restoration service
We have observed many sofa and couch manufacturers cutting their costs. There is no wonder that furniture stores are permitted to sell 3-piece suites for next to no cost. Furniture is often not crafted as it should be. For example, vinyl is often used as a replacement for real leather. We also found a lot of suite manufacturers use poor quality foam and often use poor quality timber for the suite’s frame. This can create problems with your furniture in less than 2 years of purchase.

Gloss paint removal and recolouring
Gloss paint is a stubborn stain and cannot be removed with leather stain remover. Instead, you need to use a leather colourant kit to remove as much of the stain as possible and then re-spray the area to blend it in with the sofa. This is what was done in this photo. An alternative is to have one of our leather technicians come out and fix the damage for you.

This was the worst of two stains on a three piece suite which had become heavily soiled with grease and other hair products; over a few days we were able to extract the contamination carefully and then replenish the area with a colour matched dye and conditioner. My customer was delighted with the results.

The seat panel and also the arms had worn quite badly. The seat interior was also very uncomfortable, so we changed it, replaced the seat panel and repaired the cracking to the arms.
Repairing breaks along the seating area and recolouring
This cushion broke open along a crease line in the leather. Regular application of Furniture Clinic Protection Cream would probably prevent this. However, the tear has been successfully repaired and recoloured.

This is a pendragon suite which we went out and looked at. The customer had recently redecorated her living room and the cream suite no longer fitted with the colour scheme. So we changed the colour of the suite from cream to a deep red.

A dog ripped a hole in the arm. It was replaced with new leather, recoloured, resewn and reupholstered.

As you can see, this cushion, one of 5 was badly cracked, and a lot of the top colour had worn off. The customer thought they were beyond repair. The results speak differently.

There was nothing wrong with this leather, our customer just fancied a change of colour. So we changed the leathers color to this dark brown color as shown in the photo.
